Triopetra Beach

Triopetra beach is located on the South side of Crete and is approximately 50 kilometres (1 hour's drive) from Rethymno.

Agios Pavlos Beach

The beach is just a few kilometres from Triopetra, and the total travel time from Rethymno is 1 hour and 10 minutes.

If you arrive at Triopetra beach, simply follow the provincial road east, and in about 10 minutes, you will reach Agios Pavlos beach.

The beach has a few steps that you need to descend to have direct access to the sand and the sun loungers available in the area.

Due to the morphology of the area, there are few available sun loungers, and they fill up quite early, especially during high season.

It would be a good idea to visit the beach as early as possible.

Sun loungers here cost 6 euros for 2 people, for the whole day.

To get to the beach, you will descend the wooden stairs with ease!

 

Kyani Akti Beach (Blue Coast)

Another very famous beach in Southern Crete.

Kyani Akti beach offers some of the best and most exciting tourist attractions.

The beach is located in Souda Bay – just 2 kilometres from Kalyves.

It is a beautiful, sandy beach that provides easy access.

The beach has sun loungers and facilities directly on the beach.

From Chania, Kyani Akti beach is only 16 kilometres away – a distance that will take you approximately 25 minutes to cover.

 

Marathi Beach

Marathi is a small beach, 18 kilometres away from the city of Chania.

The beach boasts amazing, crystal-clear waters and is often protected from the strong winds that can hit the island, especially during the summer months.

It is an organised beach with all amenities, which you shouldn't miss if you find yourself in Crete.

In the area, you will find various tavernas to dine on fresh fish, and there are also hotels if you wish to spend a few days right by the sea.
