How to get from Bergamo Airport to Milan

Milan has 3 airports serving different airlines and routes.

The largest airport is Malpensa – this is where our very own Aegean Airlines flies!

The second airport is Bergamo, which is essentially located in the namesake village, 45 km away from the centre of Milan.

You might not have even known about this airport if Ryanair didn't fly there!

The third and most convenient airport is Linate, which is essentially located within Milan itself!

It's definitely not worth taking a taxi, as you'll pay a considerable amount of money unnecessarily – especially when the bus fare is just 6€!

The best solution to get from Bergamo Airport to Milan city centre is the Terravision buses, which pick you up directly outside the airport and transfer you economically and safely to Milan's central train station with regular services.

Bergamo Milan transport

The transport options for getting from Bergamo to Milan are the Terravision buses we described above, or taxis.

Taxis will cost you a significant amount (around 100€), while Terravision buses cost just 6€ for a single journey.

The Terravision fleet is located just outside the airport – as soon as you exit Bergamo Airport, you'll find them right in front of you. If you have difficulty, you can ask at the airport information desk or another knowledgeable visitor.

Generally, you'll need approximately 8 minutes from the moment you disembark the plane until you reach the Terravision buses – so you can easily plan which service you want to book for, as you'll know beforehand what time you'll be at the stop.

Bergamo Milan train

A train from Bergamo to Milan costs from 5.50€ to 35€, and the journey takes approximately 1 hour and 5 minutes.

The first train departs at 05:00 in the morning, while the last one is at 23:00 in the evening – in between, there are up to 162 connections between Bergamo and Milan's train station!

Trenitalia serves this route – that is, Italy's state railway company!

The train is not the ideal solution for transfer from Bergamo to Milan. The bus, and especially those of Terravision, is the ideal and fastest solution.

Milan is ideal for shopping and strolls – it's not unjustly considered the "Fashion Capital". With cheap flights to Italy, you can easily and without spending a lot of money, visit Milan and explore luxury brand stores, eat traditional pizza and pasta, and enjoy an aperitif beneath the Duomo di Milano!
